Colin Harper was born in New Orleans, grew up on the island of Bermuda (aka “The Rockâ€) and stayed intermittently in Toronto, Ontario. His musical alter ego, Collie Buddz, reflects that upbringing, incorporating influences from hip-hop and reggae to West Indian soca.
